The beaded plastic end makes a fun teething ring. The pages are made from silky, brightly colored fabric that has numbers on one side and photo-realisitic pictures and words on the other, including a dog, cat and sailboat. The front page is crinkly which is a bonus. My 6 month old child loves toys with detail, like tags and prints and she finds this very appealing. I like the crinkly noises that the first page makes. My 6 month old really has no interest in it except to chew on the pages for a few minutes, then he throws it down. They soak up saliva and get very wet very fast. You have to wash this toy and let the cloth pages drip dry.
